I did eventually buy a car from a dealer who doesn't even have a yard and trades online. He told me all about the setup. My issue is simply that I'm the consumer and if I tell someone that I don't want them to contact me, I have every right to expect them to respect that wish. No one likes all the other telemarketing calls we get. I fail to see how this is any different if I explicitly "opt out". This was the point of my post. I was aware of this Garry. Some dealerships have genuine bargains for the poor public and would like to sell them - hence they need to contact people like yourself. I'm hoping to get my hands on one of those mobile internet gadgets through work in the next couple of weeks.
