A night out with an old friend

Ahhh yes... it's nice to have a night out with an old friend that you haven't seen for a while.

Last night, I had the privilege of dining with my old friend... Coke.  I had one with my chicken parma last night, at The Pub at Crown while out for Tash's birthday.  Not a bad parma either... although you just can't get that country pub atmosphere in the middle of the casino to complete the experience.

They say absence makes the heart grow fonder.  Well, I can assure you that this applies just as well to caffeinated soft drinks as it does to people.  I really really really enjoyed that coke.  It had been a long time between drinks for us both.

That said, I'm going to stick with the minimal caffeine intake.  I think it's been quite a good thing to go without.  I'd suggest that I've been sleeping better without it.  While I can't see myself going to lengths to completely avoid it for a whole year, I'd have to say that this little lifestyle experiment has been thoroughly worthwhile.
