Decaf Paul: One week down
August 20, 2006 on 10:50 pm | In Uncategorized |Yep, today was the one week anniversary of my last caffeine fix. The last time was Sunday lunch at La Porchetta in Niddrie when I had a coke. I have to say that other than causing a slight disruption to my typical food intake, it hasn’t actually been that difficult. I’ve had a few minor slips but nothing major.
On Friday night I had chinese takeaway for tea. I got a free can of drink with my meal and brought it home before I actually realised that I wasn’t supposed to be having cola. It’s still in the fridge here if anyone wants it (but you have to ask first Warren). I had juice instead.
Other than that, no big deal. I had to get lemonade at lunch today… and last night when I went out for dinner I had lemon, lime and bitters. I quite like coke but I don’t really feel as though I’m missing out.
Anyway, 23 days to go until I can say that I have adoring fans who aren’t junior campers or cousins.
